Who is a TÓT?

 As a child, the word TÓT was a kind of negative adjective. To refer to certain people with certain life choices, that is not so beneficial for the person who talks about them... 

It caused me a lot of conflicting feelings already as a child. Why refer to a type of folk as a negative adjective?

There was one proverb or sentence that everyone definitely knew in the 1990s:

"Fogadd be a tótot, kiver a házadból" = If you accept these tribe people, the TÓT in your home, they will beat you out of your house.

Even as a child, I felt it was very aggressive to speak about a certain tribe like this. But I kept my opinion for myself, as I was sure that people had time to think through why they feel fragile regarding this tribe.

So for a few posts, I will talk about this tribe, the TÓT.
